Pioneer News
Edwin & Njeri Olweny, Engineering Consultant and Lawyer, Bronze Pioneers
It is no secret that there is a desperate need for additional universities in Kenya. Annually, for more than 200,000 of secondary school graduates, the journey through education is terminated there. There are simply not enough places at the local Universities for them. In order for Kenya to realize the Vision 2030 development plan goals and elevate the state to a middle-level income society, a well educated youth is paramount in facilitating it. We wholeheartedly support this mission and look forward to availing our professional experience for its achievement as we support superior education for all Kenyan youth.

Now working with DELTAMULCH COMPUTERS LTD I'm so glad in taking this opportunity to become part of this project. Higher Education is about caring about the future of our children and the generations thereafter. This is a huge investment to our youth who need to know education is the backbone to success. I didn't need to think so much in order to embrace the idea. As I counted forward five years where this idea will be, I knew I wanted to be counted as a pioneer in such an amazing project that will bring so many benefits to Kenya as young minds are developed with knowledge. Jane in Australia, "Doubtful at first but pulled in by idea" in her own words.
When I learnt about the Kenyan University Project I was at first hesitant. It sounded too good to be true. This made me cautious. However talking with my friends and asking for more information, as the answers kept coming, little by little the idea pulled me in and in no time I was fully immersed in one of the greatest development ideas that I may ever be involved in during my lifetime. I couldn't help but start sharing the idea with my friends. The appeal for high quality education for our youth created a noble cause. The opportunity to explore business revived my entrepreneurial spirit. The tailored investment made me understand the meaning of, "An idea whose time has come." The timing was perfect. I was looking forward to invest. Today I can hear the thunder of this idea just like a farmer hears thunder of approaching rain. And just like the farmer knows the seeds put underground will yield, I know my seed of becoming a pioneer will yield and give me a harvest that my family will enjoy for a long time.
