Lee is also involved in Kenya national policy on developments and planning formulation as well as the private sector planning and development over the last 10 years as:
- Chairman of the architectural association of Kenya in 1999-2001.
- Chairman of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) 2005-2007. KEPSA is the umbrella organization for private sector initiatives. In 2007 at the Kenya Conference held at Atlanta, he presented the goals of Kenya Private sector alliance toward integrating the Diaspora Community expertise and capital into the fast growing private sector in the Kenya.
- National Presidential Council on vision 2030 where he represented the private sector to help formulate and implement vision 2030 during the years 2006 to 2008.
- Chairman of the advisory board for the Ministry of Nairobi Metropolitan and chief advisor to the minister to prepare the new Nairobi Metropolitan Strategy that defines and guides the future of Nairobi.
